Brazilian footwear manufacturers participate in U.S. digital trade fair

Aiming to increase Brazilian footwear exports in times of restricted in-person encounters, the Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (Abicalçados) will be at Micam Americas with 15 brands. The action is carried out through the Brazilian Footwear, an internationalization program developed in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).

The digital event will take place between January 19 and March 16. It will be held through the platform NuOrder, a B2B (business to business) platform to manage customers and orders. "Micam Americas proved to be a great platform to promote Brazilian brands while in-person events are not an option. Through NuOrder, exhibitors may use several tools to present their collections and contact customers in an entirely digital way," says Ruisa Scheffel, an analyst of Abicalçados' Trade Promotion Unit. She highlights that the return on investment (ROI) in the previous edition reached 360%. According to her, for eight weeks, the participating brands will be able to prospect new business or even receive orders through the platform.

Scheffel explains that one of the highlights of this edition of Micam Americas will be the matchmaking services – prior scheduling of meetings by comparing supply and needs of exhibitors and buyers – that will be provided by the promoter of the event, Informa Markets.  "The promoter has hired representatives in several states in the United States to prospect new buyers, teach how to use the platform, understand how to prospect new brands, how to use the tools, etc.," she says.

The brands Ferrucci, Ramarim, Klin, Bibi, Tatiana Loureiro, Pegada, Paula Torres, Beira Rio Conforto, Vizzano, Moleca, Modare Ultraconforto, Molekinha, Molekinho, Actvitta, BR Sport, Opananken, Schutz, Capodarte, Dumond, Lolita Pimenta, Petite Jolie and Pé com Pé are confirmed at the event with the support of the Brazilian Footwear.
