Footwear Industry Optimistic for Three Trade Shows in the United States

The participation of these companies is supported by Brazilian Footwear

After a positive end-of-year performance in footwear exports to the United States, brands in the sector are optimistic about participating in three trade shows in the country during February. The participation of these companies is supported by Brazilian Footwear, the export promotion program managed by the Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (Abicalçados) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil).

The first stop will be at Magic Las Vegas, held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from February 10 to 12. Recognized as the leading fashion trade show in the U.S. market, Magic Las Vegas attracts thousands of buyers from the United States and Latin America. The Brazilian brands Camu Camu, Carrano, Cocco Miami, Dress to, and Sawary Jeans will be showcasing their collections with the support of Brazilian Footwear.

The second stop is the Atlanta Shoe Market, scheduled for February 15 to 17 at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta. This event, the largest U.S. trade show exclusively dedicated to footwear, will feature the participation of Brazilian brands Adrun, Arezzo, Bottero, Cartago, Cartago Kids, Cocco Miami, Farm Rio, GVD International, House of ZALO, Ipanema, Ipanema Kids, Itapuã, Melissa, Mini Melissa, New Face, Pegada, Piccadilly, Pyramidis, Schutz, Usaflex, Vicenza, and West Coast, all supported by Brazilian Footwear.

Rounding off the U.S. trade show circuit, Magic New York will take place from February 18 to 20 at the Javits Center in New York City. This trade show is considered essential for international footwear brands aiming not only to sell their products in the United States but also to strengthen their positioning in the world’s largest consumer market. The participating brands, also supported by the export promotion program, include Actvitta, Beira Rio, BR Sport, Carrano, Max Maria, Modare Ultraconforto, Moleca, Molekinha, Molekinho, Sawary Jeans, and Vizzano.

Carla Giordani, from Abicalçados’ Business department, emphasizes the importance of the U.S. market for Brazilian footwear. “Historically, the United States has been the main destination for Brazilian footwear abroad. Despite fluctuations throughout last year, we observed a promising recovery in shipments by the end of the year,” says Carla.

In 2024, according to data compiled by Abicalçados, the United States received 10.28 million pairs of Brazilian footwear, a decrease of 3.3% compared to 2023. However, in December alone, shipments grew by 9.4% compared to the same month in 2023 (991,300 pairs versus 906,000 pairs).
