BFSHOW Expected to Generate US$ 46.7 Million in Footwear Exports

The 6th edition of BFSHOW takes place from May 18 to 20 at Distrito Anhembi in São Paulo/SP

The 6th edition of BFSHOW, held from May 18 to 20 at Distrito Anhembi in São Paulo/SP, is expected to generate more than US$ 46.7 million (R$ 234.8 million) in exports for the footwear sector. The figure includes deals closed on-site and business expected to materialize following the event through the Buyer Program, which brought together 164 importers from more than 40 countries to the trade show promoted by the Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (Abicalçados) and organized by NürnbergMesse Brasil (NMB).

According to the Abicalçados report, 1.5 million pairs were sold on-site, generating US$ 20.6 million (R$ 103.6 million) in business. Expected business generated an additional 2.27 million pairs and US$ 26.1 million (R$ 131.2 million). Abicalçados Relationship and Business Manager Letícia Sperb Masselli notes that the overall result is 6.6% higher than that recorded at the May 2025 edition of the trade show. “The deals generated during the event indicate a gradual recovery in footwear exports,” she says.

In addition to the buyers invited through the Buyer Program — carried out through a joint effort between Abicalçados, the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), and the trade show itself — BFSHOW welcomed more than 1,000 importers from approximately 60 countries who attended on their own initiative. “The trade show has become the main international showcase for Brazilian footwear, representing the largest footwear industry in the Western world. Today, BFSHOW is the largest trade show for the footwear sector in Latin America, and it is only natural that international attention continues to grow,” says Felipe Marchioni, Head of BFSHOW at NMB.

The next edition of BFSHOW is already confirmed and will take place from November 10 to 12, once again at Distrito Anhembi in São Paulo/SP.
